GET SET UP

Meta Quest 2 & 3 Guardian Boundary Setup

Power On Headset

Ensure your Meta Quest 2 or 3 headset is powered on. Press and hold the power button on the right side of the headset until you see the boot screen.

Enter Admin Settings

If in kiosk mode, ask your administrator to access Settings. Press the Meta button on your right controller, then navigate to Settings → System → Guardian.

Set Guardian Boundary

Select "Set Up Guardian" or "Edit Guardian". Hold the controller at arm's length, pointing downward. Walk slowly around your play area perimeter to trace the boundary. Ensure the area is clear of obstacles.

Confirm Setup

Review your traced boundary on the floor. Confirm it matches your safe play space, then save. You're ready to begin your immersive VR experience!

💡 Important for Kiosk Mode: Guardian should be configured by your administrator before kiosk mode is enabled. Ensure your play space is 4m x 4m minimum for optimal experiences. Keep the area well-lit and free of obstacles for accurate tracking on Quest 2 & 3 cameras.
